Giving a Helping Hand in the Final Journey

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:

Palliative care experts believe that more than 7 million people suffer from pain and other symptoms due to such illnesses and conditions annually in India.

Only a small fraction of these people have access to adequate palliative health services due to non-availability of such services.  Our experience shows that more than 70 % of them are Senior Citizens and from BPL families.

BhaktivedantaHospital & Research Institute provides relief from pain, suffering and enhances quality and comfort to life, for patients having incurable diseases.  To sum up, it provides a helping hand in final journey.

It includes active total care for Patient with terminal illness and also for their family members. It involves holistic care from diagnosis to bereavement.

During the year 2017-18, 892 Terminally-ill patients were offered Palliative Care services.

The department of Palliative Care at the hospital has also been actively involved in conducting training programs in Saifee Hospital, Prince Aly Khan and Royal College.
